We visited Skapade Huskimo as part of a school-related visit, during the coldest week of winter in Canada, with temperatures around –30°C and wind chills reaching –35°C. What we witnessed raised serious concerns about animal welfare and about the message being conveyed to children, families, and educational institutions. We loved our experience at Escapade Huskimo. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. Our guide, Kevin, was great, explaining everything well and took great pictures. It felt very authentic, as we helped harness the dogs and drove our own sled. Awesome experience, would highly recommend!
We did the sprint and it was perfect for our family with a 2 and 5 year old. If it were just adults we’d definitely want to do longer given how wonderful the experience was, but for small children it was the perfect amount of time. They were so communicative leading up to it and the experience was perfect. Something really to treasure. I highly recommend.
