The staff was filming me on a regular basis while I was working out as part of an inside joke or something I guess. When I confronted him he said it wasn’t SPECIFICALLY against their policy to film people. I switched gyms months ago and it still bothers me. Horrible culture for betterment and fitness.
Late night workouts are my thing and I have to give major props to the closing crew at EōS Fitness in Syracuse — specifically Tate and Garret. These two absolutely crushed it with their professionalism, friendliness, and customer-first attitude even as the gym was winding down for the night. I was finishing up my session close to closing time and rather than rushing members out or dimming the lights with a passive aggressive tone (which I’ve experienced at other gyms), Tate gave a calm, respectful heads-up that the gym would... read more
It was meh. I’d wait to get a membership (maybe) when the new one next door opens up. $20 to try for your FIRST time is a little wild. I would have expected the front desk to be a little more helpful on the first day, just a quick overview and pointing to where some things were (locker rooms, cardio, etc.) Anyway, not what I was hoping for from an EoS.
I actually really love the people at the Syracuse EoS. They're friendly, know me by name, and are always available to help when needed. I never have to wait for the cardio machines I want and only occasionally have to weight for weight machines. I live by VASA as well and it was always so packed I ended up leaving before my workout was done. No hate to VASA, just not the more chill vibe that I like at EoS.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every time I get a membership with them, they screw me over. When I cancel my membership, they do not listen to me and they keep charging my card. I am usually an understanding person, but to have to call multiple times a month to ask them to stop taking out money, is ridiculous and honestly unprofessional. I get told every time "there was no notes put in about the cancelation, so we cant give you a refund" how is that on me? I did my part and canceled, and their staff was unprofessional and... read more
