Good morning. I have a procedure today, and I wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, no nurse ever called to confirm my appointment or review my pre-procedure instructions. I wasn’t told what I needed to do to prepare, and when I tried reaching out to speak with a nurse, it was nearly impossible to get a callback. 05/12/2026 Showed up for my appointment to only be told it couldn’t be done because common sense wasn’t implemented. Was told that the specialized catheter for my procedure wasn’t there and when I asked why someone didn’t check to make sure before my appointment, because they had all of 5 weeks to do so, all I was told was “sorry” by the charge nurse. Expensive to come here. Parking and Facility Fee will cost more than your visit.
Extremely disappointed with the billing practices at the GI clinic at Memorial Hermann. While the medical staff and front desk team were professional and courteous, the billing department completely ruined the experience. I paid my copay at the time of service, thinking that covered my visit. Later, I received an additional $194 “facility fee.” This was never clearly explained beforehand.
