Extremely disappointed with the billing practices at the GI clinic at Memorial Hermann. While the medical staff and front desk team were professional and courteous, the billing department completely ruined the experience. I paid my copay at the time of service, thinking that covered my visit. Later, I received an additional $194 “facility fee.” This was never clearly explained beforehand. I was instructed by the staff at Ertan Digestive that I had to go into the practice to meet a new physician after Dr. Ertan retired. I took sick leave and left work early in order to get there. I spoke to the residents longer than Dr. Andrew DuPont and the staff actually had to bring me back into the waiting room because there were no rooms available.
