8 months to make an appointment just to see him for 8 mins. Then I got a colonoscopy (2 more months later) and he came to see me for 30 seconds afterwards to say, 'you have hemorrhoids', laugh and then just says we're going to try some mesalamine enema and walks away... The doctor is great the problem lies in how long it takes to see him and also after, when you need medication if you are on Medicaid. The nurses and staff are incompetent to say the least. I was trying to get something better than generic mesalamine (brand name) and the nurse jerked me around for 2 months until I told her 'Do your job and do a pre-auth'. Endoscope done in April 2024. In hospital due to low hemoglobin as primary care ordered a transfusion and endoscope. Dr Ofori-Darko was Dr. in hospital performing endoscopes. Came into my room day before procedure with assistant. He was friendly and told me about procedure and time of procedure for next morning. Had it done as scheduled. But DID NOT see or speak with him right before procedure. When I woke up in recovery the recovery nurse told me briefly what was and was not found. Dr Ofori-Darko listened to me and discovered the problem I he with swallowing. He has been excellent in diagnosing and treating my esophageal web. Above all he is very kind, he really listens, and he really cares. I still drive 3 hours to keep my appointments with him.
He is wonderful. He is to the point and comes in before and after procedure.
He is thorough and kind and wants his patients to get better
In all my life I’ve never seen such an unprofessional, uncaring and incompetent person practicing medicine. I never leave reviews for anything but I feel the need to warn others. I had to go out of network and pay a ton to get a proper diagnosis after dealing with him and waiting months for a misdiagnosis. If you’re going to be arrogant and terse you could at least be good at what you do.
Dr. Ofori-Darko has always acted arrogant, uninterested, and indifferent to my concerns. The office environment was lacking as well, often felt as though I was bothering them. I continued to go despite this because it is the only office of its kind in this town and I did not want to drive out of town. I decided that it was worth the drive, when they refused to call in a prescription to help with my bleeding ulcerative colitis.
