I cannot recommend Dr. Givens and his staff highly enough! I began seeing Dr. Givens in February, after experiencing several unexpected health issues, particularly related to my heart. From my very first visit, I felt heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. His nurse, Brittney, is incredibly kind and welcoming. Worst experience with a Dr. I’ve ever had. The Dr. thought he knew more than Dr.’s who had seen me for years. He hadn’t reviewed any medical records including tests, he went off my first time visit with maybe 20 minutes of speaking to me. I won’t be going back. He wasted my time and money. Very unprofessional Dr.
I had a troubling experience with Dr. Givens and cannot recommend him, particularly for anyone with a mental health history. I visited for a thyroid checkup and to discuss recent unexplained weight gain. Although my results were normal, he offered almost no explanation or guidance, and he discouraged a specialist referral by saying it would not be worthwhile. My daughter and I both recently started seeing Dr. Givens. During my daughter’s first appointment with him he surprised my husband and I by changing her diaper instead of asking us to do it. Then over this last weekend I sent him a message about a concern I had involving my daughter and instead of responding to my message, he called me to discuss why he wasn’t concerned about what I was mentioning and also educated me on what he would be concerned about in regards to the topic.
