The ambience and decor of this place, 5 stars! The food, 5 stars! The workers, 2 stars. Unfortunately the standoff-ish-ness is too much. They are loud, almost rude, and not friendly. The food was amazing and the love put into building the place is top notch. I do recommend this place, just don’t expect over friendly service.
Awesome sandwich, awesome beet and gorgonzola salad. Great service that made the beet salad that was no longer on the menu.

It's deeply pleasing to take a drive through Kings Village, in Scotts Valley, and be reassured that the very first Erik's Deli still serves as a landmark there since 1973. I was a young 13 when my folks would treat my twin brother and I to an outstanding experience in THIS VERY SPECIAL DELI in 1977.
