We had an amazing adventure on the Erie Canal, celebrating the 200th Anniversary of its opening in 1825. We didn’t have much prior boating experience but the friendly staff at Erie Canal Adventures gave us some classroom instruction and hands-on instruction using the boat and operating it through a lock so we were comfortable being our own captains for our 4 day journey West. We loved our time on the canal boat provided by Erie Canal Adventures! The boat was immaculate, the training to pilot it was empowering, and the time on the canal was delightful.
We had the 2-person "Love Boat" and it was wonderful, very comfortable and well appointed. The gang at ECA was quite helpful in the training and going out of their way to help. We had a great adventure!
