Dr. Erica Smith is the most trauma-informed OBGYN I have seen. I have struggled (unknowingly) for 26 years with endometriosis. Dr. Smith heard me, truly saw me and explained every option that I had. She strongly suspected that I had endometriosis and I opted to have the laparoscopic surgery so that I'd know for sure. Dr. Smith did an amazing job. My scars are minimal. Dr.Smith is an angel literally. It’s been a rough year for me. I initially switched her September 2024 for a twin pregnancy. Due to experiences in the ED leading me to change back to my old hospital. Unfortunately the pregnancy ended in the second trimester loss of my twins. I followed up with her postpartum. She was thorough in what happened at UPMC, answered all my questions and assured me it was not my fault.
