Epic shop, friendly environment, extremely knowledgeable and full of great history.
I really love my new surfboard, an Avis. They must have some kind of wave magnet technology embedded as it catches everything. I also think it's one of the most aesthetically pleasing boards I've ever seen. The whole process was a joy. Eric Arakawa himself spoke with me a couple times and helpfully explained the whole process. These guys are by far the most professional surfboard making operation out there. Having Eric provide his personal expertise in designing a custom was incredible. Once I got the board, I could tell from the first bottom turn that it rips. 10/10 would recommend

If you're on the North Shore, you MUST stop by the factory! You'll feel like a kid in a candy shop. Plus, they have a massive quiver of demo boards you can check out for 24 hours for FREE. Who else offers that!? The swell came down during my trip so I demo'd a prototype twin fin and had a blast. Last time I visited them I bought an RP and they shipped it to Florida. Arrived in perfect condition. I make sure to stop by every time I come to the NS. Best boards in the world.
