Signed our lease on 10/09/2024 for a lease date starting 11/01/2024. Arrived to a filthy house with the previous tenants bodily fluids in the bathrooms, spilled food in the fridge, bugs everywhere, and overall unlivable conditions for a house. In the 30 minutes our family spent taking photos of the conditions of the property, our one year old was covered in bug bites from being inside. . The rental process has been a disaster from the beginning. We had to move into absolutely Fort Walton beach .which someone broken into my apartment the county sheriff's office was called dangers to me . A report was made and on file at Okaloosa Sheriff's office. A good portion of our $1300 security deposit (in our case about 25%) is none refundable for "professional" cleaning, but its pretty obivious at this point someone at the Shalimar office is lining their pockets with it. Totally unprofessional and once you sign the agreement to let them sell your home you will see that suddenly you can’t get your agent to respond back to your text messages and will leave you in the dark wondering where is my realtor?? My agent ditched me and ignored me after promising to make changes on my listing for over a week, then apologized and told me to call her back at my convenience and again ignored me .
