I made an appointment to tour the gym and have a free workout. Got there and was given the tour, but was not allowed to workout, despite what it said on their website when I signed up for the tour and free pass. What a waste of time. FYI, if you join, you have to sign a 12-month agreement.
Overall Equinox is very nice and not too crowed. However, it is not a good value. Machines are are old and limited to just two brands. They had a PowerPlate and never replaced it. Prices go up and amenities go down. At this price point get some hairspray, deodorant, a clothes steamer, and nice blow dryers.
Equinox Lincoln Park takes full advantage of being the only decent gym in the nearby area since they know the LA Fitness a block away is a dump. As a result, they charge insane membership fees for being a slightly above average gym. They often have the same repeat issues: No hot water, broken air conditioning, buckets catching water from the ceiling, and functioning but slightly damaged equipment. It’s still a decent gym, but it’s no where in the realm of being worth $200+ a month for just this one club.
Equinox Lincoln Park has a 3.2 star rating with 91 reviews.
Equinox Lincoln Park is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 7:00 a.m.
