I give 1 star as 0 star is not an available score. Their scale for a credit score has not sense. Last month they removed 5 points from my score because of a pending $10 transaction in my Chase account. Well, this month my Chase statement has been closed at $0 and Equifax remove another point on my score because my balance decreased from $10 to $0. It is totally non sense, I think Equifax must be pushed to fix this big score evaluation errors. The credit score is not a joke, it is a very serious matter.
I had my credit pulled to buy a house and Equifax was the only credit company that had another persons credit delinquency falsely associated to me. I proceeded to spend the next 45 days and around 20 hours of my time fixing their mistake. It was terrible dealing with them as a company and I’m not sure how they’re still in business.
Equaifax posted a fake collections on my account. I called the creditor and they had no record of me in their system. When I called Equifax they tried to sell me protection so this doesn't happen again. They tried to extort me a monthly fee to prevent this. The only thing we need protection from is Equifax. This agency is a scam that screws the American people. They still haven't removed the collections even though it was entirely fabricated. You know what’s crazy how when you have a high balance for 8 months they report your credit daily even tho you made payments and when you pay everything off it takes 30 days to report your credit score . So funny paid off 29k of my credit cards still 15 days later no update
Terrible customer service , I have submitted proof of an account paid in full but Equifax refuses to correct it stating that the computer has to do it. And why am I speaking to someone in another country??? Shouldn't US credit bureaus have customer service reps located in the US??? Rude, customer service that just read from scripts. 100% useless.
