If you are looking for a pretty reasonable meal then dining at Equator is a good bet. The ambiance here is romantic and the setting just right for a quite meal with that someone special. Attractive teak tables and wicker seats make up the interiors of this place and window-side tables provide spectacular views of busy Washington Street. The food here is made up of spicy Malaysian curries, creamy pastas and authentic Thai. The portions are rather generously served with excellent customer service and cool drinks to accompany y... read more

Good Spot for A Business Lunch Washington Street is in the heart of the downtown Boston business district. Equator is a 'hot' spot for a quick business lunch. Don't let the line at the door discourage you. It goes quickly and is worth the wait.
this place is trash. I love thai food but I will never go here.
Don't be racist!!! Since this crap has to have 50 characters, I will just continue to say, stop racism. Stop racism stop racism stop racism stop racism stop racism.
Great Food, Atmosphere and Friendly Staff! – My husband and I decided to check out Equator because we wanted Thai food with a nice atmosphere. We certainly found it here! The place wasn't crowded, seating was large and comfortable, staff was friendly and the food was tasty. I recommend the Chicken Satay and fresh Spring Roll appetizer! We were extremely happy and would return! We took the Orange Line to the Mass. Ave. stop, it was about a 7-10 min. walk to Washington Street on the left. Outdoor seating available too!
Nothing Special – After reading the other reviews here I was anxious to try this restaurant. I was quite disapointed. To start, the appetizers were ok but nothing special, and not very much sauce on the side. The main dish was a dish with chunks of chicken that was overcooked, hard and had an under taste. Call me crazy but thats not my idea of great food. The service was average and nothing beyond the call of duty. Instead of chating with co-workers they might bring extra sauces for my appetizers and ask if I'd like another ... read more
Great Thai food and atmosphere – Went to this restaurant for a work lunch with about 11 people. They were able to accommodate us well. The place is somewhat small, so it was good that we went at an earlier lunch time. The appetizers were great (scallion pancake, grilled tofu, fried shrimp rolls). Our entrees were large for lunch prices and tasted great. I would suggest the chicken fried rice, vegetables with curry, or the green curry dish. The restaurant claims to be Thai/European cuisine, but the lunch menu was strictly Tha... read more

nice decor, great food! – I was just up in boston on vacation with my wife and was on my laptop in our hotel looking for some good thai food. We came across Equator and decided to hop a taxi and give it a try. What a great choice. Cozy, romantic atmosphere, and excellent food. This place is a definate must try for any thai enthusiasts. I will be back in the city in a few months and cannot wait to eat here again. Very friendly staff too.
