Very disappointing experience. I was charged $620, and the hospital billed everything under one single code, listed like a doctor’s service, instead of using proper itemized or correct billing codes. Because of this, my insurance cannot process the claim for full benefits, and I am forced to pay more out of pocket. This feels extremely unprofessional and misleading. Wanted to say a massive thank you to the emergency team who helped me after an accident yesterday. Special mention to Jaime the NP who saw me and went over and above with excellent clinical skills and bedside manner. Also the wonderful triage nurse Pip and ED physician Dr Marcel that I interacted with, as well as Eric at reception who was extremely helpful. All made the experience seamless and comfortable. I am shocked at the 1 star reviews here. I took my 88yo father here in June we waited a very short time and were seen and soon ushered into a bed cubicle. My dad had intestinal blockage and was in extreme pain. The nursing staff were very fast efficient and mostly friendly too. My dad went to ward was in hosp for 2 wks here. They treated him so well was like a hotel and probably saved his life as he rapidly declined with heart failure Since then my dad has broken his hip in Oct was in public 4 wks.
