Have purchased some cute smalls so far and hope someday to buy a larger piece! Browsing here is a delightful experience that I recommend. The pieces are lovely, the house is super cool, and the owners are friendly, informative, and fair.
We purchased a beautiful lowboy over the summer. It's perfect and in great shape. The only downside is that is smells horribly of smoke. I'm sure it's from the original owner, but we have had quite the time trying to remove the odor. Overall, very pleased with the purchase, but probably would not have purchased had I known the amount of cigarette smoke in the piece.

Hi Kara - I am so sorry that happened! We disinfect and deodorize the interiors of all of our pieces and check every piece for any odors. Although I am unsure of what you purchased, I guarantee that we wouldn't have sold a piece of furniture that smelled badly had we known. I've heard that coffee grounds left inside in an open container will absorb odors. Colena & Jake have the eyes and sensibilities of artists! They are the knowledgeable and fun-loving owners of Epoch Furnishings. I have yet to see more beautifully restored and showcased mid century treasures in the RVA area. We have purchased many unique pieces from Epoch and we are thrilled with every mid-century jem! Jake made everything super simple purchasing and delivering my Tivoli high boy sight unseen to Alexandria, VA. I hope to actually make it down to Richmond to visit the shop one of these days but until then I'll keep shopping via Facebook!
LOVE that the shop is set up in a house, such an amazing way to see the ever rotating selection of midcentury gems! Colena & Jake are friendly, knowledgeable and have incredible options at reasonable prices! I highly recommend you stop in!
