While here, I learned how my habits and attitude developed who I am today. Therapy helped bring to my attention different patterns that I wasn’t aware of, or had not paid attention to before. This wasn’t always an easy experience to watch happen, but I really did grow from it. Upon leaving their services, I feel much more accountable for my actions.

Before arriving in Epiphany Massachusetts, I was at rock bottom and had no hope for sobriety. While I was there, the staff were extremely patient and compassionate toward me. My trust in the process was low, but they went above and beyond to listen to me and make me feel important as a person and not just another patient. Their help and support encouraged me to stay when I wanted to leave.

At the time I came to Epiphany, Massachusetts, I was experiencing one of my life's most difficult days. The staff welcomed me; they were patient and understanding, which is a quality I had never encountered prior to coming here. No one made me feel like I was being judged based on what had happened in my life or anything like that. Because of the people of Epiphany, I began to understand that there is actually a change possible in my life.

It was one of my most exposed experiences to go to Epiphany in Massachusetts. I had anticipated being judged but, instead, I received patience and real concern from all the staff. Everyone took time to help me understand my issues and that I still had a chance to recover. Their support helped me get through days when I didn't think I could continue.

What I learned in this program made me see that addiction is more than only a problem of substance abuse; it is also an extension of other things going on in your life. I found out a lot about myself and, through the help of peers and therapy, I found out how my thoughts influenced the decisions I make. I have taken responsibility for making changes in my life. I have gained a higher level of self-awareness.
