While walking down the street I was looking for a good place to eat. I passed by a taco bell and a chipotle and decided to pass because that's food you can get at anytime. I was stopped at epicure on king because I liked the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. I had the chicken penne pasta, with a lemon drop martini and limoncello cake. Very cozy restaurant and food was fantastic! Enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana. My daughter and I had just returned back from a trip to Italy and agreed that Epicure’s food was better than some authentic Italian restaurants we tried! Will be sure to come back.
Friendly bartender made tasty drinks in an upscale and comfortable environment. Had a blast catching a World Cup game there by chance one night. We shared 4 appetizers and one had a sandwich. All delicious. We will definitely be back on our next trip to old town Alexandria.
My husband and I stumbled across this gem! The food was very tasty and the service was incredible. Would recommend for a romantic date night. Intimate dining experience.
Overall, everything was enjoyable until I suddenly felt a sharp sting in my mouth while eating. I immediately realized there was something sharp in my food, spit it out, and discovered what appeared to be a nail-sized thin wooden stick with one pointed end. I called our waiter over.
