The Grand Theatre The Main Theatre was built in 1938 by brothers Harry, Barney, Oscar and Morris Stiefel. The three day grand opening celebration began the day after Christmas of that year, featuring "Just Around the Corner" starring Shirley Temple, as well as the short subjects "The Declaration of Independence" (in Technicolor), "The Captain's Christmas" and, fittingly, "Opening Day." A Step Back in Time This theater is a twin cinema; I've seen only a few movies here, but the decor makes you feel as though you're fifty years in the past. Between the small town itself and the movie theater it's a cool experience to take in a movie here.
