I did the SKIP the counter process and it was the BEST ever at the Portland Airport. Walk to the garage level and the gentleman walked me to my car and off we went. Took less than 5min. Car was super clean with zero issues. Turn in was simple n fast. I was impressed as other car agencies were a nightmare. Thank you crew.
The check out and check in attendants were very good and helpful. However we had a flat on the interstate and the phone response took 40 minutes to get my location. Communication was very difficult. Ultimately AAA responded very well.
Unfortunately this was an extremely poor experience. We had to wait in line for 2 hours to get our pre-booked rental car. The staff were giving incorrect and conflicting information to all the patrons. I would recommend avoiding this location at all costs.

You can quickly walk to the Enterprise booth from the baggage claim area through a tunnel connection. No shuttle needed. Once there if you have already checked in and paid online or via app you skip the front counter and walk straight to the garage.
