UPDATE: Aug, 2026 - took another rental back and Mercia and the staff there did us right again. We have rented the same SUV twice within a month (hopefully the same one next month for our next trip) and both times, we got a low tire warning immediately upon our departures the following day. A fluke once, but twice, it's an issue. The first time cost us (they will reimburse) and the second time we had to stop, again, at a truck stop with free air. This is the second time I have used this location. Great staff! From the moment I picked up the van, the experience was excellent. The follow-up calls to make sure everything was going well, along with the email asking whether I still planned to return it at the previously arranged time or needed extra days, showed great customer service.
We had made a reservation for a small SUV over a month ago, for our trip to and from SoCal. When we picked the car up, we were told that we got an upgrade, a Ford Bronco. The car looked good from the outside. But when the agent turned the ignition on and off, the engine was rattling terribly. We were told that this was normal for that type of car.
