The worst experience I have ever had at any car rental agency. We rented a Mazda for 10 days. The agency attempted to talk us into a $60 per day hail insurance policy but we declined. We stayed in the northeast section and kept the car parked in a garage. It rained twice while we were there but we stayed inside those days. When we returned the vehicle, they claimed there had been hail (which we investigated and saw was to the west near the mountains) and pulled out a reflective screen to look at the car. I had a great experience using the Enterprise car rental at Colorado Springs Airport. The car was great - it was low cost (I had to extend my return by 24 hours and it only cost $8 extra!). The team there both issuing the car and helping me with returning it we’re great. Can’t recommend enough!
The airport info folks and signs must preadvise travelers that rental car companies do not accept a debit card and only allow a credit card to be used, so that people are well-informed and don't take the shuttle back & forth dragging all suitcases along. What a nonsense!
