Customer Service is a joke!
If your employer chose this company as your health insurance provider....RUN AWAY! You're better off not paying into the plan and going without insurance because this company will not pay anything beyond a primary care visit. Need testing or procedures done? They'll deny you. Need standard blood work/labs done? They'll refuse to pay it sticking you with the bill. Basically this company stole money from my paycheck and my employer and didn't cover anything. They actively age discriminate.

I am stuck with EGP due to my employer. If I could switch I would. They do not respond to provider's requests for benefit confirmation and are slow to pay bills. Anytime I see a new provider or the new year happens I have to constantly hound EGP to send over my benefits to the providers. It is such a hassle and I have paid out of pocket several times just to avoid the trouble of getting EGP to communicate with the provider. Avoid at all costs.
