We stumbled across this place and Dr. Jae Murphy by chance when our usual ENT surgeon was fully booked months in advance. Since then, Dr. Murphy has become our go-to family ENT specialist. He assisted me with the diagnosis and referral for treatment of voicebox nodules, and he also helped my daughter with her adenoid issues, performing an adenoidectomy. Dr. Murphy is always extremely punctual, professional, and approachable, and he is a wealth of knowledge.
My experience relates to 2023: I had an initial consultation and an endoscopy. My impression was that he was tired and disinterested. Based on this appointment he determined that I would benefit from Septoplasty (I had a deviated septum) and tongue coblation. During the consultation he assured me that there would be no extra costs and he said words to the effect: "I wouldn't like you to awake after the operation and for you to discover that you were thousands of dollars extra owing !" Terrible experience. Appointment for my daughter was for 9am and I wasn't seen till 10.30. When it was already half an hour past my appointment time I got a text message from reception whilst sitting in there waiting area to tell me he was running behind. Couldn't even tell me in person whilst I was sitting there. When my daughter eventually saw the surgeon (Mr Campbell), I couldn't get a straight answer out of him to whether my daughter should have her tonsils out, he basically said it was my choice.
