I saw this doctor for my son almost 18 yrs ago! My son was 2 at the time and she diagnosed him with autism. She didn't say much, didn't do a long test on him. Just a few simple tests, stacking blocks, imitation etc. less than 15 minutes. She said he was between moderate and high functioning. And he still is. I never could understand how she would know from those few simple tests, but it was accurate. Not much of a bedside manner or ideas of how to help back then. I sure hope its better these days.
