Enhabit Hospice – A Painful and Disappointing Experience In March 2025, my mother was placed under the care of Enhabit Hospice. Sadly, the experience was deeply disappointing. Based on what we endured, I cannot recommend their services to anyone. At the hospital, we were approached by Kim, who introduced herself as a "hospice salesman." I will be on hospice home care two years at the end of September. My team goes to the limit and beyond to ensure I am comfortable and my needs are met. The support they offer to my family members is amazing. Heather, my nurse, makes her weekly visit, does all my medications and other things I need.. like a travel concentrator.. Lab work when necessary. They are available 24 /7.. gives me peace of mind. Diana is an awesome social worker and I welcome my time spent with her..
Shop around. Enhabit is supposedly short staffed and unable to provide services that Medicare pays them for. Communication was difficult and either medical staff is unknowledgeable or for some other reason symptoms that were causing distress were not appropriately addressed and on several occasions caregiver was given inaccurate information.
