I took my car here last Friday afternoon with a blown head gasket, oil leak upon oil leak and I was given very accurate information from the start. The car was ready when I was told it would be (Wednesday) all jobs were completed to a high standard, extra jobs were also completed all for the original quote. They even put petrol in for me as when I dropped it off it was on red because I didn’t know if my car was repairable so I didn’t want to waste money filling it up. I had a Faulty engine The owner of the business offered to repair it at the cost no greater than £300 I’ drop the engine off, The owner contacting me the next day. And the cost of almost tripled to £850 I told him that I didn’t want the job doing. To rebuild the engine and give me the Engine back. This he refused to do saying that I would have to paying to rebuild the engine. Honest mechanic! I had an engine issue with my scirocco and after calling around, I was recommended to call Harold. I did and instantly got a good feeling, no pressure, just calm and professional. He told me when to drop off and was realistic with how long it would take to look at. I'm sure he won't mind me saying he's an old school mechanic, by that, he FIXES the issue not just look for bolt-off and on repairs and new parts.
