Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Engine. To be very clear, I never even used their service, yet they still refused to process my refund. How can you justify keeping someone's money when the service was never used? I contacted them expecting a simple and reasonable resolution, but instead I was met with a refusal to refund. I obviously should have checked out the reviews before wasting my time with Engine. In theory, this is a great concept. I was so relieved after I had opened an account on the site, Keydi gave me a call within days and made it known she was available to help! She said she was going to add nearby hotels, never happened; she's add the ones I sent her, never happened; she would adjust the room numbers requested, never happened. Beware! This company is awful. You may book rooms for your travelers, team, guests, etc. but don't be surprised when issues, conflicts and other problems arise. And their customer support is atrocious! Basically, they suck.
Unfortunately, Engine was linked on the wedding website that I recently attended, and I used it to book my hotel room. Don't make the same mistake as I did! For the same exact room, my cost was 65.00 higher than guests who booked directly with the hotel. When I asked at the front desk, they said they would be happy to drop the cost to a more competitive amount, but could not since I booked using Engine. Engine's customer service was of no help. Refused to refund me for a car rental that was not released to me because I live in IL and dont have a flight ticket. They told me even though I could not take the rental that I will not be refunded the $200 I paid for it. Stay away. Use Google travel or expedia
