I've been trying to schedule with UVA endocrinology for 2 months. They have given me the runaround on information needed for the referral, and now my complete referral has been sitting without appropriate review so I can schedule. I wish I had never tried to schedule with them, because I probably could have seen another endocrinologist elsewhere at this point.
We were referred to Dr. and surgeon Phillip Smith by Dr. Roy at Lynchburg Nephrology Physicians. My family member underwent an adrenal gland operation to correct a metabolic disorder which was life threatening and life altering. Both medical teams at UVA and Lynchburg Nephrology Physicians were exceptionally great.

The doctors I've had at UVa's Endocrinology clinic have all been great! The registration folks downstairs, however, always seem like they're having a bad day and are hell-bent on taking it out on patients. I have a somewhat rare autoimmune disorder, and all of the doctors have been knowledgeable about my condition and have helped me manage it well. 5 stars for the Endocrinology Team...1 star for the registration staff.
Dr. Dalkin was an amazing endocrinologist who provided tremendous care for our loved one in need of his expertise. Dr. Dalkin is loved by our family and sorely missed.
