He has moved from Cartersville to Windy Hill area, but worth the drive. I recommend anyone looking for an endocrinologist to definitely make an appointment. This doctor cares about his patients, looks you in the eye when talking to you, willing to answer questions and still able to get you in and out without appointment taking forever.
The office has moved from Cartersville to the Smyrna area it was easy to find and a very nice office . The Dr is very thorough and nice . His team is also very pleasant and professional. I am so happy I finally feel so much better after years of feeling awful! Definitely worth the Drive !

Dr. Puentes performed my thyroid biopsy in his office; the procedure exceeded my expectations. He provided detailed explanations at each step, pausing after each sample to check my well-being. I highly recommend Dr. Puentes and his exceptional team; he is the best endocrinologist in town. Furthermore, Dr. Puentes and his staff are fluent in both English and Spanish.
I just did my thyroid biopsy today. The way Dr Puentes does the biopsy is a lot less uncomfortable than when the radiologists do it. I’ve had it done before with a radiologist so I was nervous, but I quickly realized I had nothing to be nervous about. There were a couple time when it did hurt just a little bit but they added more numbing cream so that it wouldn’t. Dr. Puentes also walked me through everything he was about to do so there were no surprises. I was in perfectly good hands and you will be as well!
