I was quoted less out of pocket than what they charged me. The fee on the day was less but much less rebate. It wasn’t provided as an estimate but as this is what the costs will be. When I emailed them they dismissed it and said they didn’t want to quote a lower fee and then overcharge me but this is exactly what they did. Didn’t respond to emails. Staff are amazing, friendly and immediately put you at ease. I saw Dr Sarah Pattinson she was amazing, explained everything and made me feel less nervous and renewed some faith in the medical profession and it was refreshing to be listened to and not gaslit and blamed for somehow contributing to my condition. She confirmed T1 Diabetes and explained it can appear at any age. So grateful to Dr Pattinson for her care.compassion and treatment plan and also and my GP and DE for suspecting Type 1 and not type other.
Promises fell by the wayside. I paid $130 out of pocket ($205 total) to be told my results were normal (in the context of an unresolved issue) after I was promised on my first visit that I would not be called back unnecessarily. Surely the results could have been sent to the GP instead. And no, being told to "drink less water" is not a service commensurate with the fee being charged. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. Imagine if a tradesperson charged that much to tell you they couldn't help you.
Dr. Fung is a fantastic specialist: very professional and caring. The receptionists also do a marvellous job looking after me at the front desk, via emails and phone call communication. Thank you for all your help as I receive care for GD.
The two ladies at the front desk are the BEST. So kind, happy and helpful. 5 stars just for them!
