I am captive with my home warranty to use EMS. I have a baby at home and I've been waiting almost 2 weeks for them to fix my air conditioner. It's July and there's no urgency whatsoever.
I am another HVAC contractor, EMS (Katie Snyder) contacted me to help them on a job, Katie said that they did not have the installers that could pass a background check to work in a government building. We agreed to help them with the job as all my staff is certified and background tested. We completed the install in November of 2024. Edit: We HAD a great experience with the install of a new unit in the fall of 2023. Within one year we noticed the system wasn't balanced, wasn't cooling/heating the same way as our old one had. EMS wasn't able to correct or fix the issue. Now our unit isn't even 2 years old and it's leaking! Have tried calling and reaching this company several times and no response. Do not use them! Would not recommend. Tried to use through first American home warranty and they said my compressor was out . We were given an estimate of $1,800 before they would start on the job. My family was without an AC for over a week already because they didn’t get in any hurry to fix our issue. We called another AC repair company and they were able to fix our AC for half the price.
