Empower will steal your money with no rhyme or reason. This includes social security funds. Asked them to unfreeze my account so I can pay my bills. Instead, they refused to let me access that money, now my bills can’t be paid by wire. Attempted to leave and was body checked by a short blonde employee- she didn’t want me to leave the office as I was threatening to withdraw my money and go elsewhere. Very unprofessional and aggressive behavior. I have heard this is the not the first time?
Finding a new bank asap. They took money from my stepsons account twice to pay a credit card bill on my husbands account. They refuse to separate the accounts despite him being 18. They clobber you with fees so when you make payments it hardly makes a dent and then try to get you to open more cards with them. No thanks.
Their automated system does not transfer you 😒.
