The building is nice, but Radiology dept outpatient employees at St. Joseph seemed indifferent and not as caring as the other Emory Clinic outpatient radiology depts. I asked a question and it was basically ignored and brushed off. There weren't many patients in the waiting area while I was there so it didn't seem to be busy. At Emory Midtown, though they were busy when I had a x ray done a year ago, they seemed more caring and concerned and the X ray Tech was caring and professional.
People are nice, but billing is a NIGHTMARE. I had a cardiac calcium ct scan. Clearly communicated at the doctor's visit, check-in, and many times after that this procedure is not covered by insurance and is a fixed price of $100. I paid the $100 at check-in the day of the procedure. I have been constantly hounded since for an additional $130. Every person I have spoken to to try and get this cleared up says this is an obvious error and that this test is a fixed price of $100, which I already paid. Almost one month later, I ... read more
I have seen more than my share of Doctors and procedure rooms. Not all good… one place that I have always felt seen, heard and Safe is St Joes radiology department suite 100… the staff is unlike no other.. I could not praise this group more. At this point in my liver journey I have a weekly paracentesis. I wish I could name all of the staff but all of them are wonderful at what they do and they have not forgotten patients have a name, a family, a story. This applies to the MRI department/staff at Emory Saint Joe’s at 5665 Peachtree Dunwoody Road. I had an appointment this AM. The check in was very easy and quick. I didn’t have to wait at all. I was taken to an area to get ready by Anna. She had the greatest smile and was so nice. She explained everything that was going to take place very clearly.
