I came to get a few things checked out and to inquire about getting a vasectomy, which I feel like is the right of the patient to request if they want to do so. Though when I inquired with the doctor about it he seemed extremely uncomfortable and told me repeatedly to "think about it" and that I am "a bit young to think about that." He even went as far as to misinform me that it was permanent (which is often true, but not always) and told me that if I really wanted it done I should go to someone else. My experience with Dr. Schenkman was mixed. On the positive side, he does usually respond fairly quickly to messages sent through MyChart, which I appreciated. However, during my office visit, I found his bedside manner to be very cold and not particularly friendly. When he entered the room, the interaction felt brief and impersonal. After one of my tests/exams came back negative, I received a short message stating that if I wanted further follow-up, I should go into New York City. I've been seeing Dr. Schenkman for many years now. He is a thorough and thoughtful doctor. A gem in the Crystal Run Healthcare system.

Dr's Office cancelled my appointment 1 hour prior. I told them I was in pain and when can they reschedule and fit me back in...Oct 15th. I said you cancelled on me, how can you not fit me in earlier. Such a caring and loving office.
