I hired an electrician by the name of Flaco who was recommended by the seller of a home I had just purchased. I paid Flaco $2,000 to install an EV charger. I later discovered that a permit was required for this type of work. Flaco never mentioned this and, when I asked for his license, he advised he does not have a license.
