It took me 6 days, 15 calls, 47 transfers, 3 dropped calls, and 0 call backs before I gave up and got a refferal to another facility. Registration/making an appointment with any Mass General department was the most time consuming and annoying thing i have done in a LOOONG time. If you have high blood pressure or have migraines, please look elsewhere. You health is not worth it.

This is a review of the billing department of Emerson Urology Associates. I have been prompted to write this as I have once again experienced the passive aggressive approach used by this department. I have been billed by other Emerson hospital practices with no issues; a bill is mailed to me I call up and pay. Just yesterday I received a robo phone call from the billing department containing a “friendly reminder” to pay that sounded more like a threat. Had to call in multiple times to even get a returned phone call to schedule an appointment. Then canceled my appointment because I was 15mins late. Never sent me preliminary paperwork. Patient care is not a priority here.

Incompetent. This is a perfect example of everything wrong with healthcare in the United States. Communication is not just poor, but nonexistent. I went here three times and every experience was negative. From trying to talk me out of the procedure the first time, to providing me with absolutely zero expectations or follow up instructions the second time, to doing nothing the final time, I'll never go back.
