This has nothing to do with the practice. My insurance coded the service and said it’s not my responsibility to pay the cost. I called the number on paper and they knew what kind of insurance I have. The strange thing is that they asked for group number. I called Emerson hospital and they said the bill didn’t exist. I cited the code to the agent on the bill via mentioned number on paper and they refused to back down and adjust to zero. Wouldn’t take any of my credit cards. Had to pay w/ bank (checking) information. This casts a bad light on healthcare at Emerson. Change your third party billing outfit.
I also received a bill for services never rendered, what is worse when I called Emerson Hospital they do not have any idea who this billing company is. They can’t find a balance due with the account number provided, when you call the number to inquire about the bill the person on the other side of the line appears to be part of a scam. I already reported them to the FBI.
