My spouse had to go to ER and they were delightfully helpful, professional, friendly, fast for an ER, and we are very grateful for their help! From check-in to nurses, xray, and the dr (NP) it was a great experience for an Emergency Room visit. Thank you! (Friday evening just after 10 PM.)
ED attending really messed up by performing a procedure that needed to be done by a surgeon in an OR AFTER getting imaging, due to the location on my body. I pleaded repeatedly for a surgical consult and imaging, and the attending told me I could either let him do the procedure or be discharged. I caved. I should have gone to another hospital. Look, I'm all about cutting medical staff slack - medical care workers are generally incredible people who work themselves to the bone while telling us why it's not healthy for us to do it ourselves. That being said, nobody was working hard here. Juliana RN (JuJu) in the Emergency Department happened to be on call. I had a random severely acute asthma attack while sitting with a family member l(who was the patient, not me) and was admitted into a bed. I was chocking for over an hour and began to leave the ED unit without a word, due to my Attendings neglect.
