My mother is someone that generally gets nervous or scared to go to the hospital for care, and her breathing today was genuinely concerning. Not only was the staff kind, they were timely and sent us on our way with what she needed. We'll return if we must! Thank you.

The ER staff here works well together and are extremely efficient, from the reception staff to doctors. This is by far one of the lowest wait times in the state of CT

We spent 16 hours with my mom here last Friday night. Standing room only in waiting room…they had to bring in extra chairs. Yes, there are suffering people made to wait a long time, and that is unfortunate. It seems that many of you posting negative comments are unaware that there is a shortage of nurses and doctors. They can’t just bring in more staff. There is no one to bring in. The people working there for way less than they deserve are doing the best they can. I visited Griffin Hospital emergency room on Saturday, October 18, 2025. I went in for severe pain in my hip and buttock area. Dr. “Bear” Sievers diagnosed me with piriformis syndrome as well as sciatica. I was given medications and well cared for while I was there that evening. The radiology tech was named Ken and went beyond the extra mile to not only care for me but also connect human to human. The person who made an outstanding difference was LVN Katey.
