I am leaving this review with one star because my overall experience with the hospital system was very frustrating. The emergency department had extremely long waiting times, poor communication, and we felt like our concerns about our child were not taken seriously at first. However, I do want to recognize Dr. Adam R. Bowman and the nurse who assisted him. I am writing this review because my experience at Emergency Services at St. Luke's Magic Valley raises serious concerns about patient care and safety. On Sunday we brought our 1 year and 4 month old child because he had a wooden splinter in his abdomen. The first person who examined him pushed the splinter further inside instead of removing it. My experience at Emergency Services at St. Luke's Magic Valley has been very disappointing. On Sunday we brought our 1 year and 4 month old child because he had a wooden splinter in his abdomen. The first person who examined him was a nurse who, instead of removing it, actually pushed the splinter further inside. After that we were sent to the emergency department.
