My son was having a full blown asthma attack at 2am, so with my pajamas on, I rushed him to Northfield ER. We were brought in asap. Vitals taken and into a room right away. They gave him steroid pills and nebulizer. Dr. Fisher was PHENOMENAL, talking to my son all the way through the visit, telling him everything she was doing and why. She had a prescription for him right there, and sent through the others to the pharmacy. Was just told by a friend that her infant was sent home with pneumonia without the doctors running appropriate diagnostics, and she had to return the next day because her baby was coughing up blood. felt the need to share my experience from a little less than a year ago when I went in with major symptoms of a kidney infection, but was only sent home with antibiotics because they didn't have a room available in the emergency department. the next morning I had to go back because the pain was unbearable, and after they ran test... read more

I'm presently in the waiting room on a Friday mid-afternoon - I have been waiting for 3 hours and no one that was already on the waiting room has been called back. And this is not a one off or a fluke - the wait times are atrocious; I have spent more time waiting here than any other hospital in my lifetime, and I've unfortunately had many trips as a kidney transplant patient. Bottom line, if you're not literally dying and and it's rather here or death, drive to Burnsville or Lakeville ER... I wish I had.
