Get directionsI'm presently in the waiting room on a Friday mid-afternoon - I have been waiting for 3 hours and no one that was already on the waiting room has been called back. And this is not a one off or a fluke - the wait times are atrocious; I have spent more time waiting here than any other hospital in my lifetime, and I've unfortunately had many trips as a kidney transplant patient. Bottom line, if you're not literally dying and and it's rather here or death, drive to Burnsville or Lakeville ER... I wish I had.
As prestigious as Northfield Hospitals and Clinics thinks it is, one would think they would offer top tier doctors. Sadly, they do not. Misdiagnoses, poor attention to drug interactions, poor communication from nurses and doctors. You will experience long wait times if you aren't bleeding out or actively having a cardiac event in the waiting room. They claim to run a triage er but I've witnessed, many times (I'm nosey and sit near the reception) triage protocol being ignored, depending on the individual and their "value" to ... read more
The ER is a just horrible. Be prepared to wait for hours, and I mean hours. It was so bad, people were getting up and leaving without being seen. If you need to be seen due to an emergent situation, good luck, you should go somewhere else. The only reason the hospital gets 3 stars is because the birth center is absolutely amazing (the birth center deserves 5 stars)! My wife delivered our daughter here, and it was a great experience. My wife and I went in there with our son two days in a row. The first time the doctor came in and didn’t know a single thing about what he was doing and could barely answer even the simplest questions about the Flu, DURING Flu season. We also had concerns about an ear infection and he couldn’t decide whether it was one or not. Ended up sending us home with Tamiflu, because he had Flu A. He wasn’t able to keep it down so we took him back in the next day to see if they could do anything else for him because we tried everything... read more
