Got me in and out less than 3 hours! I rarely leave reviews for emergency rooms, but my recent experience at [St. Joseph] ER was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share. After recently moving to the area, I had to call an ambulance and was brought here during the night shift. I’ve been to many ERs over the years, and this visit was by far the best I’ve ever had. I had to put one star rating to get this review to post! I would not rate Dr. Matthew Brice as he does not deserve a rating. My visit with him was the most awful experience ever. I visited the St. Joseph ER in Caldwell, Texas due to an onset of vomiting as well as a fall after having dinner and a drink with friends. I was very frightened and had no idea what had happened to me. There was not excessive drinking at all as I’m 74 years old and never drink except an occasional drink. I was rushed to the Caldwell ER with stroke symptoms and let me just say how wonderful the staff was there, they were quick and got me the life saving medicine I needed and got me on a helicopter and flew me out to Bryan where I needed to be in ICU, if it wasn't for their quick reaction and help I wouldn't be here today because I did in fact have a stroke and I'm 100 percent ok I'm a walking miracle!! And I give all praise to Jesus and to Caldwell ER staff!! Thank you so much for saving my life!!
