If an er doesn't have cardiac care, they should let you know before admitting you to it with chest pain. All they did was waste my time, then transfer me to Regional at 9pm when I came in at 2:30pm. There were some lovely nurses, and support staff, but the PA there was quite cocky, abrasive, irritating, unprofessional and turned out to be incorrect about my care and, I was also lied to about one of my tests, which was incredibly insulting and stupid as I have the portal. If I could give a zero I would! I was transported by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital's ER on Sunday night. I had a terrible fall in my home that morning & decided to go seek medical treatment that night. Because, the pain continued to get worse. I came to this ER due to cutting my finger really bad at work. My finger had been gushing blood and would not stop. I literally sat in the waiting room bleeding profusely for 2 hours before they took me back to a room. And it wasn’t even a regular room. It was the triage room. The PA Colleen came in with an intern. Didn’t ask me if I was ok with an intern being a part of my care team or anything. Wait times are terrible! I came in for abdominal pain and it took them hours to get me in and then they told me they didn't know why i was in pain after only an ultrasound, and told me to leave without further diagnostics. A few months later my husband had 10/10 abdominal pain and was on the floor crying in the ER and he had to wait hours to be seen.
Do yourself a favor and go to the next closest hospital!
