IF you have Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance the ER doctors EPMC (Emergency Physicians of Montgomery County)doesn't not have a contract you WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT even after Blue Cross pays the allowed amount anyway. When my Blue Cross insurance contacted them they refused to write off the rest of it as they would be required to do with a contract. For some reason they don't care about disabled people in their billing department. I was billed years later after I thought they had forgiven the bill and when I asked them to forgive it in a long letter they didn't. We are low-income and they don't care about that and all they care about is money!! I had eaten poisoned mushrooms by accident and all places who served me in the emergency room forgave my bill except the hospital of course and they charged me over 900 dollars and they didn't care I didn't have insurance.
