On 12/29/2024 I went to Ascension SE Wisconsin Urgent care to be treated for a sore throat. I was given a strep test and sent on my way. Several weeks later I received a $597 bill from EMS. I attempted to negotiate with both EMS and Ascension to lower the bill and was told that was not possible. Called to inquire about an inaccurate bill, they initially extended the due date, never got back to me on a conclusion. I reached out before the 2nd due date to see if there was any update on my inquiry. They still had no conclusion and told me to disregard the due date and wait for them to reach out, the date passed, they didn't contact me with a conclusion and reported the bill to a collection agency... Very rushed I appealed the bill because it was minimal service at Best and I was charged over $1000 for maybe two minutes of a doctor that didn’t even correctly diagnose me
I have set up a payment plan with them 2 times now...each time they have just stopped taking the payment out! Then sending me a past due notification. They ARE horrible. Will be calling them on Monday to yell at them!
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I visited the Richmond St Ascension Urgent care in Appleton on 7/22/25 to be seen for a sore throat. I was there for about 30 minutes with wait times. Saw the doctor for about five minutes in total. She ran a strep throat test on me and it came back negative. Was told if it got worse to call. So I left with no medication and only a negative strep throat test done.
