If I could give this place zero stars I would. I visited the Richmond St Ascension Urgent care in Appleton on 7/22/25 to be seen for a sore throat. I was there for about 30 minutes with wait times. Saw the doctor for about five minutes in total. She ran a strep throat test on me and it came back negative. Was told if it got worse to call. So I left with no medication and only a negative strep throat test done. Staff is good, billing is bad. Got charged $600 for an urgent care strep test (10-minute visit) in December. This is only the bill for EMS, we got a separate bill for the facility. Recently used the ER, got the bill- tried to pay 2 weeks late (my bad) - they had already sent it to collections? Come on. Liked the staff, but we will be switching to a different ER/Urgent care going forward.
Very unhappy with the billing. Went in to Ascension urgent care at 101 Main Street in Neenah around 7/9/25 for bronchitis. Staff were helpful and professional. Got my meds and left. Today I received my bill from Ascension which I paid. But then I was floored by a EXTRA bill from Emergency Medicine Specialists. I had a highly disappointing experience with this company. My wife, brought one of our children here for medical services, and we never received a single bill or communication from them. Instead, we were contacted by a collection agency out of the blue. I requested an itemized bill and details of what was charged to our insurance, but their lack of transparency is unacceptable. If I could give this zero stars I would. Tried to call about my bill. I paid $300 when I arrived in the ER and yet it was not reflected in the bill. I called the helpline and the person was so unhelpful. I tried to clarify I couple of times what I was calling about and THE PERSON HUNG UP ON ME!! So unprofessional and unbelievable rude.
