Despite being the busiest emergency department in the area, the staff are very attentive and wait times aren’t super long during each of my visits. Attendings Dr. McCormick, Dr. Kramarski, and physician assistant Alexis Boccabella, Dr. Shannon and resident physician Dr. Nugent were very attentive, caring, and helpful. Over the years this hospital’s care and service has severely declined due to the nurses who are hired. They have zero bedside manners or empathy. My most recent encounter with Nurse Eli Reinert in the Tower Health ER on 10/30/25 further clarified my feelings about the lack of care, respect, and empathy. Terrible place. Horrible wait times. Some very rude people working there.
What an absolutely horrible medical center, and emergency department! The nurse who was charged with my care was absolutely abhorrent and negligent in the manner in which she carried out her medical duties. As a patient I was neglected, abused, and threatened with violence multiple times. The treatment I received was disturbing and grossly out of line with Tower Health's Pillars of Excellence: Patient centered care, Diversity, equity, and inclusion, clinical quality, and nursing excellence.
