Absolutely awful, dismissive,, lack of clear or no-communication depending on which unprofessional person, inconsistent messaging from 1 unprofessional person to the other. Refused to answer questions and concerns clearly. Inaccurate notes, refused to make corrections to symptoms, so fraudulent documentation and forced discharge without clear understanding and continued serious symptoms.

I arrived at Harborview’s emergency department around 12:40 AM with severe left-sided chest pain (8/10), difficulty breathing, and a history of DVT. An ECG was performed shortly after triage. After that, I waited in the lobby for over 3 hours without being called back for further evaluation. During that time I felt increasingly lightheaded and had episodes where I felt like I was gasping for air and had to go outside because I felt I couldn’t breathe comfortably indoors. I had to come to Harborview ER after a dog bite and needed to start the rabies vaccine series. While no one wants to end up in the emergency room, my experience from beginning to end was excellent. From the moment I walked in, the security guard was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The registration staff were friendly and got me checked in. Yes, there was a wait, but that's to be expected in a busy emergency department, and the staff kept things moving as quickly as they could.
