This is insane. Sitting in the ER for over 4 hours after a long 11 hours work day with no communication on your wait time. You ask and is being told they cant tell. This is starting to feel like I’m back in the Bronx sitting in Montifore ER like it was my damn work day waiting to be seen by a doctor. This was not how this ER was when it was Orange Regional. I’m in more pain now than when I came in. Only good thing was the check in nurses were great with trying to help.

I had a very disappointing experience at this emergency room. After checking in, We were forced to wait over 6 hours before receiving any meaningful attention. While I understand that emergency rooms can be busy, the lack of communication and updates made the situation even more frustrating. The check-in nurses were rude, dismissive, and showed very little compassion or concern. Visited Garnet ER on 6/6 at around 11AM one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I have ever witnessed. After almost four hours of waiting, the overwhelming impression is that patient care and communication are not priorities in this department- it’s abysmal and should be embarrassing. Long waits happen in emergency medicine. What should not happen is leaving people sitting for hours with little to no meaningful updates while staff carry on as if patients’ time, comfort, and concerns are irrelevant.
