If You're Sick and Go Here, You Might Not Make It Out I had one of the worst experiences of my life at the Boston Medical Center Emergency Department. From the moment I arrived, the treatment was shockingly bad. The nurses at the entrance were extremely rude and dismissive, treating patients like they were a burden. My husband was brought in to ER by ambulance for chest pain/tightness and near loss of consciousness. At no point of his 6 hours there was he ever hooked up to a heart monitor, BP monitor, or O2 monitor, wasn't given fluids, waited 5 hours for EKG results, just to be told "we don't know, you might be dehydrated". Finally spoke to a doctor after 6 hours after I, his wife, was escorted out by security because I screamed at the top of my lungs to get him a doctor. If death is your only option choose BMC.

My mom was transferred to BMC by East Boston Clinic cause she needs surgery on her 4th and 5th toe. We was in the waiting room since 5pm. Been there for 4-5 hours and still did not get called to the RAZ department. So my mom left she’s a diabetic who haven’t ate anything all day and they wasn’t tryna do nothing or speed up the process. The emergency room and the RAZ room was packed.
