Just wanted to Thank and recognize the Dr who is Thomas Birris MD. Recently was in ER because I mistakenly cut my feeding tube while changing the bandage. Dr Birris was very polite and assured me that he has dealt with feeding tube issues before. I cut it very close to my skin but he was able to remove it and install a new one in just a few minutes. He and the two ER Dr’s were able to think on their feet very well. I publicly wanted to thank everyone there who did such a great job. Thank you Corewell Emergency.

I recently had two very disappointing experiences at this hospital's ER. First visit: They checked my child in under the wrong name and date of birth. They completed the entire visit before realizing the mistake when registration noticed the information didn't match. They had pulled the wrong person's info and put my child's information into someone else's chart. Second visit: We were made to wait over 24 hours with no help. I used to hate going to the ER. You'd be there for hours. I'd go to a walk-in regardless of the severity of the problem. Now, I am so impressed with the ER. It's the only place I'll go.
